Symbol of youth, eternal love and resurection, the “Mariposa Alegre” (joyful butterfly) is a beautiful emblem to our Gran Reserva range, marked by freshness, length and structure.
Our local legend tells the eternal love story between a young Inca warrior and the beautiful princess FA, who tragically died and left the warrior broken hearted. Like butterflies, emotions are ephemeral, while beauty remains forever. Their pure feelings for each other is a magical story, forever engraved in our mountains.

About the Vintage:
2020 was an exceptional and easy vintage for red wines and more challenging for whites ones. The year began with a late winter with little rain, and then the summer was dry and warm, which contributed to an advance in maturity, and a high concentration of the grapes. 2019 will be remembered as warmer than the historical average, and with excellent sanitary conditions.

Color:
Red with purple hues, bright.

Nose:
Notes of black fruits such as blackberry and plum, mixed with hints of balsamic and vanilla.

Palate:
Soft palate, medium acidity, medium high persistence. Flavors of red fruits and spices, tobacco, vanilla, roasted red pepper.
MARIPOSA Carmenere is ready to drink, and will reach its optimum within 2 to 3 years.
